World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can boost the value of certain numeric stats on weapons, armor and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and PvE Damage.

Components
Upgrade components are items that can be slotted into armor, weapons and trinkets in order to provide an extra stat boost or impact while they're being used. Upgrade components can be inserted into any equipment with a slot for them. The item must have been at the very least upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be inserted.
